Learning to Scuba Dive at SALT

So you want to get your PADI scuba certification, and are thinking of taking the course while on vacation in Dominica?

Look no further than SALT! Our Elite Instructor Kayla is enthusiastic about getting new divers in the water and preparing them for diving outside of the course environment and making them just as passionate about the ocean and protecting it through their dive practices and education!

The conditions in Toucari Bay are usually ideal for confined water skill development and open water dives, the shallow sloping beach entry is good for all ages and slowly acclimating to underwater breathing, neutral buoyancy and air space equalization.

You will learn to dive surrounded healthy growing reef, and learn about the fish and other creatures that inhabit it. You will be taught best practices for being an environmentally friendly diver who never touches, teases or harasses critters, corals, or any other living thing.

Because SALT is a private dive operation, the only people in your certification class will be the people you sing up with! This means if you sign up alone, you will be one on one with your instructor! What more could you ask for when learning something new than a teacher dedicated to your safety and success!

Because your class is private this also means we can create a schedule that works for you, and make the most of our class time & dive time together, ensuring mastery of skills and maximum fun!

Complete the e-learning or book work on your own time, and we can create a schedule based on your learning speed. This option generally requires 4 days with us in Toucari in the classroom and the ocean, this doesn’t include the independent study still required before / between classes. Please remember not everywhere on island has internet or quality internet which can make e-learning on island difficult though not impossible. Please let us know if you have any questions about completing the entire program on island
